One District One Product (ODOP) Awards 2025

The One District One Product Awards (hereinafter, the 'Award') have been instituted by the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Governmentof India, to acknowledge the extraordinary work done by States/ UTs, Districts, and Indian Missions Abroad, for the economic development of the State and contribute towards the realization of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat

Eligibility

a) All States/ UTs, Districts, Indian Missions Abroad, E-Commerce platforms, and Central Ministries/departments are eligible for the award.

b) The applications will be considered valid for the progress achieved in the promotion of the identified product from the respective district identified under DPIIT’s ODOP initiative only. c) Assessments will be made based on the work done to promote the initiative between 1st April 2023 to 30th April 2024.

Non-eligible Applicants:

Private companies, individual artisans, businesses, or NGOs are not eligible to apply directly

for the ODOP Awards 2025

No. of Awardees

There will be total 38 awards under 5 heads (States/UTs, Districts, Indian Missions Abroad, E-Commerce platforms and Central Ministries/Departments)

  • 9 Awards for States/UTs
  • 12 Awards for Districts
  • 15 Awards for Indian Missions Abroad
  • 1 Award for E-Commerce platforms
  • 1 Award for Central Ministries/Departments

The above division is tentative and subject to change.

Who can nominate ?

All States/ UTs, Districts, Indian Missions Abroad, E-Commerce platforms and Central Ministries/departments are required to self-nominate for the award.

Selection Process

Step 1: Preliminary Screening

The Awards Secretariat will conduct an initial verification and screening of all applications based on the responses provided and the supporting documentary evidence submitted. Incomplete applications or those lacking adequate documentation will not be considered.

Step 2: Shortlisting by Screening Committee

A Screening Committee will be constituted to evaluate the eligible applications. Applications will be scored based on the relevance and quality of the information and documentation submitted. Top-scoring applications would be shortlisted for further scrutiny.

Step 3: Evaluation by Selection Committee

The shortlisted applications would then be reviewed by a Selection Committee which will recommend applications for field-level verification based on the scores and overall merit.

Step 4: Ground-Level Verification

Field verification will be conducted for the applications recommended by the Selection Committee to validate claims and assess on-ground impact.

Step 5: Final Selection

Based on the field verification reports and overall assessment, the Selection Committee will finalize the list of awardees.

Award Categorization for Evaluation:

States and Union Territories will be classified into three categories:

  • Economic Powerhouse
  • Emerging Economy
  • Developing Economy

Districts will be evaluated under one of the following five sectoral categories:

  • Agriculture
  • Marine, Dairy & Food Processing
  • Handicraft, Handloom & Textile
  • Service & Tourism
  • Other Industries

Indian Missions Abroad will be considered under Five Regional Categories: -

  • Americas (North & South)
  • Europe & CIS
  • Asia-Pacific
  • Middle East & Africa
  • SAARC & Neighbourhood

Special Categories will include:

  • E-commerce Platforms
  • Central Ministries/Departments

Ceremony Details

The awards shall be presented in New Delhi tentatively in the month of December 2025/January 2026
